ABOUT NCC

·         The National Cadet Corps is the Indian military cadet corps with its Headquarters at New Delhi. It is open to school and college students on a voluntary basis. National Cadet Corps is a Tri-Services Organization, comprising the Army, Navy and Air Force, engaged in grooming the youth of the country into disciplined and patriotic citizens. The National Cadet Corps in India is a voluntary organization which recruits cadets from high schools, colleges and Universities all over India. The Cadets are given basic military training in small arms and parades.

SVPC college details

With a view to delegate and realise efforts at St.Vincent Pallotti college, a unit was started in August 2018 with 15 cadets and sanctioned by 39 KAR INF BN NCC , The NCC unit of St.Vincent Pallotti College,Kalyan nagar,Bangalore-43 is granted by 39 KAR BN NCC coming under "Bengaluru ‘B’ GROUP" in the Karnataka & Goa Directorate, Bengaluru.

TRAINING AND OTHER ACTIVITIES

·         Regular activities like Drill, Rifle Drill, Map Reading, Weapon Training, Field Craft and Battle Craft to name a few are being imparted to the cadets as per the syllabus framed by NCC Directorate, Bengaluru.

·         Anti-Drug Rally, Swachcha Bharath Abhiyan, Yoga, Independence Day, Republic Day, Kargil Vijaya Diwas, Road Safety Rally, Blood Donation, Army Awareness, NCC Inter collegiate competition and NCC Day celebration are the other programs conducted by REVA University, NCC 39KAR BN, Bengaluru, in which our cadets take an active role.

·         Senior Division and Senior Wing :

o    'C'-Certificate is the highest recognition of training and qualification of a Senior NCC cadet.

o    'B'-Certificate is the initial recognition of training and qualification of a Senior NCC cadet.

        ASSOCIATE NCC OFFICER


Lt M PAVAN YADAV (ANO) is an ex- NCC cadet of 1KAR NAVY and underwent NCC PRCN training in july 2020 where he was the parade commander for the drill competition at Officers Training Academy Kamptee. He has been commissioned as Lieutenant and continuing his service in     St.Vincent Pallotti college under 39 KAR INF BN NCC. The officer has provided the best to the cadets both in performance and excellence. The ANO imparts wisdom and motivates these young adults to strive for the best and to work hard everyday. Under his guidance, the cadets has performed exceptionally well in all their camps.

·         St.Vincent Pallotti College NCC wing is an infantry unit under 39 Karnataka Battalion NCC. Through NCC, we aim to groom our students into models of discipline and patriotism. Develop in them character, commandership, leadership, secular outlook, spirit of adventure and selfless service. Our objective is to transform them into trained and motivated human resources who will lead the nation in all walks of life. We will motivate them to join the armed forces and serve the nation. We provide equal opportunity to boys and girls to join NCC, take part in all its activities, which include, besides regular parades and camps, community development and social service programs, training for assisting civil defence authorities in rescue work in war zones and natural calamities and traffic control. Our students are encouraged to join the NCC and thereby enhance their career potential and take advantage of preferential consideration in defence as well as civil recruitment.

The NCC flag for various units of the NCC was first introduced in 1951.The three colors in the flag depict the three services of the Corps, red for the Army, deep blue for the Navy and light blue for the Air Force
